A flash from the past.....These photos are from an arson fire that occurred in the Chelsea Fire District at a restaurant called the Magnolia Restaurant Bar & Grill (formerly Uncle Chu's) at 3:10AM on Thursday August 19, 1999 and was located on Rte 9D - north of Dutchess Stadium. They are scans from Kodak Gold 400 color film. I heard the alarm and decided on a whim to go take photos. I had my camera, one roll of film, a flash with batteries of unknown condition, and my determination and I headed out the door...... I guess that these are significant to me because after not actively photographing fires for approximately 10 years (While I was a Chief Officer) , these photos marked my gradual return.....Anyway, the batteries in the flash died, I ran out of film, and the building burned to the ground despite the efforts of Firefighters and I'm back photographing fires......
